Specify the Conformance Level for IP Multicast (Windows NT/2000/XP)

This parameter determines to what extent the system supports IP multicasting and participates in the Internet Group Management Protocol, RFC 1112.

There are three levels or conformance:

Level 0: no support for IP multicasting

Level 1: support for sending but not receiving multicast IP datagrams

Level 2: full support for IP multicasting

Open your registry and find the key below.

Create a new DWORD value called "IGMPLevel" and set it to either 0, 1 or 2 accord to the level required above.

Restart Windows for the change to take effect.

Settings:

Name: IGMPLevel
Type: REG_DWORD (DWORD Value)
Value: 0, 1 or 2 (Default = 2)
